Daniel Thwaites is extending its portfolio of brews with a German lager. The company has signed a deal to brew Kaltenberg, owned by the Bavarian brewery of the same name, and plans to launch it into the trade later this month. The 3.8% abv beer will join Warsteiner premium lager and a number of other ales in the brewer's stable, including Lancaster Bomber, which was recently launched in the off-trade. Paul Winter, sales and marketing director for Thwaites, said: "We are re-enforcing our commitment to brewing and providing our customers with a superb range of products. "As globalisation in the brewing industry continues, I know there will be a place for forward-thinking regionals with strong brands. With Kaltenberg we have products to meet the challenge." {{MARKETING }}
