Wilkin & Sons has partnered with English gin brand Haymans to launch a fruit-flavoured liqueurs range under the Tiptree jam and marmalade portfolio.
The three-strong range is being rolled out into 60 East of England Co-op stores this week in English Raspberry, English Damson and Little Scarlet Strawberry flavours (rsp: £19.99/35cl).
Described as an authentic tipple featuring “deep fruit notes with a crisp background of juniper”, the 28% abv trio is made with fruits from Wilkin & Sons’ own farm, which are sent to Haymans’ local gin distillery where it is steeped in its London dry gin.
The launch marks the first foray into alcoholic drinks for Wilkin & Sons, which has produced a range of conserves with alcohol for years.
It was a natural partnership to team up with original English gin makers Haymans because it shared “similar family heritage”, said director Scott Goodfellow. he predicted fruit flavours could be “the next big thing” in the burgeoning gin category.
