Hampshire-based free-range dairy brand Tom Parker Creamery has launched a ‘category first’ Bedtime Milk it says will help consumers young and old achieve a good night’s sleep.
The functional whole milk drink is available in Ocado from mid-March (rsp: £1.50/500ml glass bottles) with a launch promotion of £2.40 for two bottles of the new product or the brand’s Vitamin Enriched Whole Milk. It is also available via ambient and chilled speciality food distributor Cress Co.
Suitable for everyone – from children over 36 months to older consumers looking to improve their sleep and the the health-conscious – the Bedtime Milk is infused with natural botanicals to promote relaxation and improve sleep quality, Tom Parker Creamery said.
These include extracts of chamomile, lavender, valerian root and Magnolia, in a modern spin on the “trusted bedtime remedy”.
The launch comes at a time when functional drinks were “outperforming the broader beverage category”, said Tom Parker Creamery CEO Rob Yates.
“Consumers are becoming more health-conscious, with a focus on longevity, weight management, illness prevention, and vitality – all of which are impacted by sleep quality,” he added.
“It’s the next natural extension to our functional milk products and will join our Vitamin Enriched Whole Milk, which is flying off shelves and receiving fantastic feedback from health-conscious consumers.”
