Jackel International, the maker of the Tommee Tippee baby accessories brand, has announced it has acquired CottomBottoms, the UK reusable nappy company.
CottomBottoms was founded seven years ago in Sussex, and its range is sold in John Lewis, Boots, Woolworths and selected Co-op stores.
Ann Hunter-Love, managing director of Jackel International, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have acquired CottomBottoms, an outstanding example of ethically produced and environmentally responsible product range.”
“We already have an award-winning product called the Nappy Wrapper, which helps parents deal with disposable nappies.
“Now we have CottomBottoms on board, we can truly say we have both ends of the market covered, offering modern mums a solution to nappy changing no matter which option they choose.”
CottomBottoms founder Joanne Freer said: “As a pioneering company we have brought ethically produced real nappies to the high street, putting the environment firmly on the ‘want’ list for many parents as they plan for their babies.”
