The food saving app Too Good To Go has promoted Sophie Trueman to become its MD for the UK and Ireland.
The news comes as previous MD Paschalis Loucaides took over as VP of operations, where he is responsible for managing activities across European markets as part of the business’ global team.
Trueman first joined Too Good To Go in 2019 and was most recently head of business development for the UK and Ireland.
Too Good To Go said that, as well as having a passion for sustainability, Trueman had been responsible for creating significant new brand partnerships with companies including Morrisons, Pret a Manger, Greggs, Starbucks and Greene King.
Trueman’s previous experience in the fmcg sector saw her hold senior positions at L’Oréal and Amadeus for over 10 years.
“I’m thrilled to take on this next challenge at Too Good To Go,” she said. “We’re on an incredible journey as a company and I am determined to continue this trajectory as we help even more companies save food from going to waste.”
