Toorank Distilleries is hoping to capitalise on the burgeoning cocktails-at-home sector and the growing popularity of rum with a new ready-to-drink cocktail brand.
The three-strong TibuRon Cocktails range - TibuRon Mango, TibuRon Pomegranate and TibuRon Coconut - is aimed at 18 to 35-year-olds and is designed to be drunk over ice.
"These new over-ice cocktails meet consumer demand for lighter and more relaxed at-home drinking options," said Toorank UK sales director Chris Lake.
The rum-based drinks are to be listed in Budgens and Londis, rsp £6.49 to £6.99 for a six-pack of 50cl bottles. The company hopes to sell 150,000 units over the next 12 months.
The cocktails-at-home sector has seen a lot of activity this year with ready-to-drink ranges such as West Eleven Cocktails and Vodkat Smoothies entering the market as well as mixers such as Funkin's 99p pouch, launched last month.
