Diane Lethbridge, chief executive of regional food group Taste of the West, has been “dismissed for performance issues” according to the group.
Lethbridge, who had been in the post for 12 years, appealed against the decision but the action was quashed. A search for her replacement has been launched. Meanwhile Cornwall manager Carol Trewin and Sue Morris, who manages trade development, will be acting chief executives.
Trewin said Lethbridge’s departure was due to “internal management issues”.
She anticipated that Taste of the West would look to recruit a new chief executive from outside the group.
She said: “The directors want to build on Diane’s achievements, which have been immense.”
