Robin Prior (left), seen here with volunteer Digby Lewis became treasurer of the SVSA when it was formed in 2002. He deals with the financial side, having previously held positions at retail and distribution level. For the past 18 years he has helped small businesses to expand. "I get annoyed that people think the rural side of life is unimportant," he says. "Rural communities need to help themselves and if they put time into a business there is no reason why it can't succeed." The Sulgrave shop proves this is so.
