Noddy organic fromage frais... Big push for biopot... inner balance sub-brand... New goats' milk flavours... Rachel's organic for kids...
Noddy, the popular children's cartoon character, features on his own organic fromage frais launched last May. Wiltshire-based dairy company Highgrove Foods is behind the product, which is now on-shelf in Asda. A blend of pure fresh organic milk and organic fruit, each 85g pot of fromage frais contains no artificial sweeteners or colours. A four-pack sells for £1.39.
Onken is tripling the marketing spend for its BioPot brand this year with a £1.5m TV push. Due to hit screens in mid-2006, the commercial features the Dancing Man TV campaign, focusing on the mild and creamy taste of the range and emphasising how the brand can make you feel good.
Organic player Yeo Valley Organic added the first sub-brand, Inner Balance, to its portfolio in February. The three-strong range of low-fat, fruited, probiotic yoghurts is enhanced with seeds and grains selected for their fibre and vitamin content.
St Helen's Farm is poised to give its range of goats' milk yoghurts an overhaul, including introducing two new flavours, wildflower honey & strawberry and vanilla, as well as increasing pack sizes from 369g to 450g for its natural yoghurt offering, and from 125g to 300g for the flavoured variants.
WeightWatchers has added two new flavours to its chilled desserts range. Toffee & Chocolate Mousse and Caramel Creamed Rice are aimed at offering consumers the chance to indulge in their favourite treats, while maintaining healthy eating values.
Healthy yoghurt brand Müllerlight saw in the new year with the revamped 'Best Ever... Even Fruitier' Müllerlight range and a line of Smooth Style yoghurts. All 15 flavours are thicker, with more fruit as well as added probiotics.
Müller has added a Dairy Milk Mint twin pot to its desserts range. The new product comes as existing Buttons and Crunchie twin pots are re-positioned under the Dairy Milk brand.
Nestlé added Omega-3 to its Munch Bunch probiotic Drinky+ range at the beginning of the year and also launched a low fat kids' yoghurt drink called Mega Drinky.
