Using old favourites to enliven the baby fixture is the strategy adopted by BBC Worldwide and Enid Blyton. The BBC's first standalone nursery brand aimed at parents of very young children will be based on Andy Pandy. The first products are planned to be launched in September 2002.
Meanwhile, Enid Blyton's Noddy will be fronting a nursery range next year.

A novel idea from Hipp Nutrition UK is traditional pancakes in sauce which will be launched in time for Pancake Day on February 12.
Aimed at children from 12 months, these pancakes have been chopped into baby bite size pieces.
They will be available in two sauces: peach and apple, and apple and cinnamon.
