Fairtrade hot drinks company, Cafédirect, has appointed Geoff Tudhope as its new chairman.
Tudhope is a business mentor for Merryck & Co, where he advises chief executive officers in the FTSE 500. He was previously a non-executive director at Cafédirect and replaces Krishna Gopala, who stepped down in July.
He is also a founder member of the Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative and board member of the World's Children's Prize Foundation.
Cafédirect CEO Anne McCaig said Tudhope's strategic business insight and passion for sustainability issues would strengthen the Cafédirect business.
"Cafédirect is a leading example of pioneering ethical business and maintains some of the highest standards in the ethical drinks industry, if not the entire drinks industry," added Tudhope.
