Danepak owner Tulip has appointed meat industry veteran Jose Peralta as the MD of its added value division, and renamed it as the Tulip Food Company (UK).
Peralta will report to new Tulip CEO Steve Francis, who announced a radical restructure of the business in September into Tulip Fresh, Tulip Added Value, Tulip Agriculture and Dalehead Foods - after admitting it had “lost its edge”.
The rebranding of Tulip Added Value would better reflect the make-up of the division, which consisted of customer-focused centres of excellence, Francis said.
Ex-Vion director Andrew Fisher will report into Peralta as the division’s new ops director.
