Tulip has launched a new TGI Fridays meat range to tap the trend for convenient slow-cooked meat products.
Three lines will launch into 300 Morrisons stores from 23 April: Barbacoa Pulled Beef Tortilla Wrap Kit (rsp: £4.50/436g), Rack of Ribs with a Tennessee Bourbon BBQ Glaze (rsp: £4.50/450g), Chicken Wings and Pork Ribs Selection Pack (rsp: £4.50/610g).
A pulled pork and a king ribs line will be added to the range over the coming months.
Each product in the range has a cooking time of 30 minutes, to target busy consumers looking for a “quick and convenient” meal.
“Consumers want restaurant quality meals at home without the hassle,” said Graeme Clapp, commercial director at Tulip. “For the past four years the sous vide market has grown at an incredibly fast pace, and by developing a range with a much-loved brand like TGI Friday’s, we hope to continue to excite fans of the brand and attract new customers along the way.”
