Tulip has recruited Tommy Moelgaard as its new chief financial officer.
The former CFO of AP Moller-Maersk’s logistics firm Damco succeeded interim CFO Helen Glennie when he joined in February.
Moelgaard, who is responsible for overseeing the financial operations across the pork producer’s four businesses, amassed 25 years’ experience in senior finance roles at the Danish conglomerate where he also worked as vice president and head of corporate finance at APM Terminals.
“I’m looking forward to starting a new chapter of my career and getting under the skin of the business at Tulip, and the FMCG sector,” Moelgaard said.
“There is plenty for me to learn as I enter a new industry, and I believe I can bring a different perspective to the organisation from my previous experience. It’s an exciting time to join Tulip, which has made great strides in the past two years returning to its winning ways - and there are further innovations to come in 2018 as we enter the next stage of our development.”
Steve Francis, CEO of Tulip Ltd, added: “We’re very pleased to welcome Tommy on board and are convinced that he will help us drive the business and our financial operations forward. We would like to thank Helen for her valuable contribution to the role in the past 18 months.”
