Crisp brand Tyrrells is launching two of its variants in a 300g bag for the first time, in a bid to tap the consumer trend for eat-at-home indulgence purchases.
Two of the brand's potato chip varieties, Lightly Sea Salted and Sweet Chilli & Red Pepper, are going super-size to capitalise on consumers’ willingness to trade up on small take-home indulgences, the company claimed.
Tyrrells sales director Paul Brown said the 300g bags would allow the brand to tap into the sharing category for the first time.
“The larger size bags represent an excellent balance between economical super-sized sharing, without the premium quality compromise,” he said.
”We're confident that consumers will react positively to the new launch as they gear up for the barbecue and summer party season.”
The new additions to the Tyrrells range are available to multiples now in packs of eight.
