Patriotic fervour has gripped upmarket potato chip company Tyrrells, which has launched a new range of British flavours as part of a year-long Great British Campaign.
The new additions Welsh Rarebit, Beef Wellington and Pork & Apple come in 150g and 40g packs (rsp: £1.69 and 64p) and will hit wholesalers' and independent stores' shelves on 19 September the first day of British Food Fortnight.
Packaging features bunting, a Great British Potato Chips logo and black and white photography reflecting "a healthy dose of British eccentricity", said Tyrrells. As part of a new on-pack marketing campaign, there will be a monthly prize draw of 'British' prizes, including classic car weekends and mushroom-foraging days.
