Ueshima Coffee Company has launched pour-over coffee bags in the UK.
The Japanese coffee brand has added a 10-pack of pour-over bags to its DTC platform (rsp: £5). The NPD features Ueshima’s signature House Blend, which is certified by the Rainforest Alliance.
To use the bags, shoppers need only open the filter, hook it over a cup, and pour 240ml hot water before waiting around two minutes for the coffee to brew, much like a cup of tea.
Once the coffee is brewed, the bag can be lifted out of the cup and discarded.
The bags offered “the perfect balance of tradition and convenience, delivering the quality of a pour-over brew without the need for specialised equipment”, said UCC.
“It’s been an exciting year for us at Ueshima Coffee Company, following the launch of our ready-to-drink iced coffees earlier this year,” said UCC marketing controller Kirsty Pavely. “The introduction of our pour-over coffee bags continues to demonstrate our passion for innovation.
“Our team is constantly striving to push the boundaries of coffee excellence, and this new launch is a perfect example of that commitment,” Pavely added.
UCC launched in the UK in 2021, and its coffees are currently sold with retailers including Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Ocado and Harvey Nichols.
