Unilever is expanding its Ben & Jerry’s Greek-style frozen yogurt line-up after the range achieved sales of more than £6m in less than a year on shelf.
Rolling out to retailers next month (February), the new Blueberry Cheesecake variant comprises Greek-style yogurt, crushed cookie and blueberry swirls (rsp: £4.99/500ml).
The launch comes just under a year since the brand debuted the range with Strawberry Shortcake and Vanilla Honey Caramel lines that are now worth £6.5m in total [Nielsen 52w/e 6 December 2014].
“We’re confident that by adding a new berry burst to our Greek-style frozen yogurt range, we’ll drive interest from shoppers looking for a great tasting alternative to ice cream,” said Ben & Jerry’s brand manager Alessandra Salvo.
Unilever is also relaunching its range of ‘Shorty’ tubs – cutting the size from 150ml to 100ml and the rsp from £1.68 to £1.25. The Shorty range comprises five ice creams - Vanilla, Cookie Dough, Caramel Chew Chew, Peanut Butter Cup, Chocolate Fudge Brownie – and Greek-style frozen yogurts Vanilla Honey Caramel and Strawberry Cheesecake.
