The former general manager of Unilever Ice Cream UK has switched to the rechargeable battery sector.
Mike Doole, who spent 18 years in strategy and business development at Birds Eye Wall's and Unilever UK and was responsible for leading the Wall's and Ben & Jerry's ice cream businesses, has been appointed UK MD of Uniross.
"We want to lead the way in making the battery industry greener and more innovative.
"The next step for us will be to expand our UK distribution to take the brand into all retail channels and into new consumer categories.
"Uniross is an innovative company and this is a great opportunity to drive it to the next level," he said.
Uniross chief executive Christophe Gurtner added: "With the upcoming EU Battery Directive and the great innovations we are launching, it's an exciting time for us at Uniross and, given Mike's consumer track record, he was the ideal person for the position."
