Unilever has agreed to sell four of its homecare brands in the US and Canada to New York-based investment bank Lehman Brothers.
The brands include Rit fabric dye products worldwide; Niagra ironing aid products; Final Touch dishwashing detergents; and Sunlight dishwashing detergents in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico.
Sales of the four brands for the first nine months of 2003 were $107m.
The move is part of Unilever’s Path to Growth strategy to focus on its leading 400 brands.
