Andrew Kendall has joined Uniq Prepared Foods as director of its newly formed category marketing function. His move follows a major recruitment drive by the company over the past few months.
Kendall was previously fresh food and retail partnership director at Kwik Save. He has held a held a variety of positions at Kwik Save and Somerfield over the past two-and-a-half years and spent 15 years in category management with Boots before moving into food.
Joining Kendall on the new team are category marketing managers Richard Barnes and Louise Hallum. Barnes was
formerly a buyer for beer, wines and spirits at Safeway and Hallum returns to the food industry after spending several years away, having most recently held the post of business development manager with the Royal Agricultural College.
Uniq has also strengthened its commercial team with three new appointments.
Karen Green joins Uniq’s Asda team from Coldwater Seafoods to support the development of its fish and seafood business.
Mary Gray and Nicola Williams have joined Uniq’s southern account team, from Jacobs and Freshbake Foods respectively, to concentrate on building new business with Tesco, Sainsbury and Waitrose.
Uniq prepared foods commercial director, Nigel Broadhurst, said: “I am confident we will start to see significant benefits to our business.”
