A year after Benoit Testard was promoted to group CEO of United Biscuits, the company is still on the lookout for a new UK MD.

Since Testard became CEO in February 2011 after more than six years as UK MD, he has remained involved in the UK business. “We have a long-standing UK executive management team, which has performed very well with a light touch from the CEO,” said a spokeswoman.

UB said although there was no urgent need to change the existing arrangement it hadn’t ruled out filling the vacancy. An ad for the role last March said the job demanded a “track record of seizing the day to make the most of tomorrow”.
