United Wholesale Scotland has posted a pre-tax profit of £4.9m for the 2021 financial year, an increase of 78% on 2020.
Turnover remained relatively stable at £274.6m, a small increase of 0.5% on the figure of £273.1m the previous financial year.
The business said that the challenges posed by the pandemic had continued to have an impact, but its strong partnership with suppliers and loyal customer base had allowed it to perform strongly in a competitive market.

It comes as UWS recently launched a one-hour grocery delivery app called Yuu in a bid to help local stores take on the rapid delivery giants.
