A trimmed radish snack pack is being launched by French grower ValNantais at the Fruit Logistica trade fair in Berlin next month.
ValNantais is known for its speciality lamb's lettuce, which has been making inroads into the UK baby leaf market. But it's now offering a combination, 258g pack of two-colour, trimmed radish with Sel de Guérande salt.
The snack pack is already selling well in France and there are hopes it will attract other European supermarket buyers.
ValNantais produces 30,000 tonnes of vegetables for the European and Eastern European markets with sales of about €50m. A third is represented by exports.
