Veetee Rice has revealed plans to add pasta to its repertoire next year.
Speaking as it confirmed it had struck a deal with Tesco to sell its microwavable rice, chairman Moni Varma said the range would be produced in a similar way to its microwavable rice.
The range is made in a new £20m factory in the UK using a unique manufacturing process, which creates restaurant-quality dishes that are ready in two minutes, unlike the parboiled alternatives that dominate the market, said Varma.
None of the products contains artificial colours or flavours.
The business is also developing a vegetable-based range to be launched in the UK next year and is preparing to introduce a wholegrain variety of the Dine In microwavable rice range this month, along with new flavours.
The Veetee Dine In range, which debuted in Waitrose in April, scooped the Food From Britain New Product Showcase award last week at Anuga.
