Toilet tissue brand Velvet has planted more than five million trees - including 8,000 in the UK - as part of its Three Trees Promise.
While industry guidelines recommend that manufacturers plant one new tree for every tree they cut down, SCA-owned Velvet plants three new trees instead. The majority have been planted in partnership with sustainability company AMATA to replace deforested areas of Brazil.
However, Velvet has also teamed up with UK charity Trees for Cities to plant more than 8,000 trees in Prudhoe, Northumberland.
It plans to plant a further 2,000 in Manchester in November.
