Norseland is extending its Applewood Cheddar brand with a new vintage variant.

The cheese is made with West Country Farmhouse Cheddar and matured for a minimum of 12 months. It launched on to Waitrose deli counters (rsp: £12.50/kg) on Monday (29 April), and will be supported in Waitrose’s Weekend magazine and on its website.

“Vintage Applewood is perfectly positioned for cheese consumers who appreciate good quality, premium, stronger-tasting cheeses,” said Matt Levett, senior brand and category marketing executive at Norseland.

Vintage is the latest Applewood innovation and follows the launch of a spreadable variant last month.
