Waitrose Entertaining is going from strength to strength, according to the retailer.
Kate Greenslade, category buyer, Waitrose Entertaining, said sales at the catalogue service had been consistently good and were rising steadily. She added: "All categories are in growth, and the range is currently running at a 23% cumulative rise, year-on-year."
Celebration cakes had proved particularly successful, with wedding and christening cakes enjoying a 48% cumulative increase against last year. Personalised cakes were also doing well, she said.
The latest Waitrose Entertaining catalogue was published this week, featureing an update range of prepared dishes, buffet food, desserts and cakes.
