Waitrose is to relaunch its home shopping website in the next few weeks to make it more user friendly.
The relaunched site would have better searching facilities and a new "look and feel", head of e-commerce Rob Collins told The Grocer. "We want to make it even easier to use and even more intuitive."
The new site is currently being tested in-house. "The big part is ensuring that people who are already using our site find it easier to use, and also that we attract new shoppers," said Collins. "Just as our new Waitrose shops have a particular look and feel, we want to make sure what we are doing on our website reflects what we are doing in our branches."
Collins added that sales at WaitroseDeliver were up 75% year-on-year in the first seven weeks of Waitrose's financial year.
