Waitrose has re-launched its flowers and gifts websites as it forges ahead with online expansion plans.
The move comes after visitor numbers to the existing Waitrose Florist and Waitrose Gifts sites rose by 35% and 51% respectively year-on-year (March 2015) and follows the successful launches of Waitrose Pet and Waitrose Cellar last year.
Both the websites have been redesigned to offer a “much improved” customer journey, which makes sending a gift to someone “convenient and easy”, Robert McCarthy, Waitrose’s Head of online trading, said.
Waitrose Florist also now sells a selection of bouquets that can be ordered for same day delivery.
Altogether 160 products ranging from hand-tied flowers, plants and seasonal blooms to Duchy Originals and National Trust hampers are available to buy from both websites.
“The new waitroseflorist.com and waitrosegifts.com websites showcase our fantastic range of flowers, plants and food gifts, and we know our customers will enjoy exploring all they have to offer,” McCarthy added.
