Morrisons has sold six stores and a non-operational distribution site to Waitrose.
The stores are situated at Eastbourne, Formby, Hexham, Lymington, Parkstone and Portswood, while the distribution site is located in Aylesford.
Morrisons said that at 29 January, 2006, the gross assets attributed to the six stores was £53.89m and £29.97m for the depot.
It added that all staff would transfer to Waitrose on completion of contracts during September and October.
