Little Dish is expanding its range of children’s products with a ‘hidden veg’ tomato sauce.

Rolling out to Tesco and Ocado from 19 May alongside the fresh mini tortellini Little Dish launched into Waitrose last year, the sauce (rsp: £2.15/300g) contains fruit and veg including butternut squash, red & yellow peppers and onion, and counts as one of a child’s five-a-day. It will be in Waitrose next month.

The launch comes a month after Little Dish made its Asda debut, rolling out ready meals and fresh pasta to 330 stores.

The company, which is supporting its range with ads on kids’ TV channels, said improvements to its range and packaging had helped drive a 17% year-on-year sales hike.
