Waitrose is hoping to replicate the massive success of last year’s Christmas pudding by Heston Blumenthal by launching a miniature version for the 2011 festive period.
The new, smaller pudding will feature a candied Clementine instead of a candied orange.
Demand for the puddings last year was so high that shelves were left bare and customers queued outside stores waiting for deliveries.
Many puddings found their way on to eBay, where they fetched prices in excess of £100.
