Walkers is giving independent retailers the chance to earn rewards such as free stock through its new category management website Counts for More.
Retailers can earn points towards rewards including stock, dump bins and chiller baskets by taking part in online activities such as watching a video. They can also get tailored advice by providing details of their shop.
“This is about much more than putting a couple of planograms on a website,” said Matt Goddard, impulse field sales head at Walkers owner PepsiCo. “It is tailored information that will offer the right type of customised category advice independent retailers need to grow their business.”
Goddard added that Walkers wanted retailers to visit the site regularly, and would often update the content.
Counts for More was trialled with 200 retailers last year and is now being rolled out across the trade.
