Walkers is introducing a range of snacks containing a mixture of flavours and textures in the same bag.
The MixUps range includes three formats: crisps and popcorn that each contain a mix of two flavours; and snacks, which contains a mixture of Doritos, Monster Munch, Wotsits and French Fries. The crisps come in Cheese & Bacon and Cheese & Worcester Sauce flavours, the popcorn in Sweet & Salty and Sweet & Spicy, and the snacks in Cheese or Spicy.
All six varieties are available in 110g to 150g sharing bags (rsp: £1.99) and are rolling out this month. The launch will be supported with a new TV campaign, social activity and in-store shopper marketing.
“Walkers is committed to developing new and innovative products,” said marketing director Thomas Barkholt. “We know flavour is key with consumers and are working alongside retailers to help add excitement to the CSN category and drive growth.”
Sales of Walkers crisps were flat last year, at £474.5m [Nielsen 52 w/e 11 October 2014].
