The Glenlivet name is being extended beyond its whisky heartland - and into water.
Speyside Glenlivet natural mineral water is rolling out to Waitrose nationwide after an exclusive launch period in
Harrods. The water, from a source in the Grampian Mountains, goes into Tesco north of the border in the new year.
Extracted by the Speyside Glenlivet Water Company, which is independent from the whisky namesake tapping the same source, 700ml glass bottles of still and sparkling water carry an rsp of 99p. A 330ml format joins the line up later this month.
Chief executive Steven Price said he expected the brand to compete with Wales’ Ty Nant and England’s Hildon brands.
