The Waverley Group has appointed three winemakers to International Wine Service, its off-trade division, to develop its French, Spanish, Italian and South African wine portfolios.
Jonathan Snashall will be responsible for South African winemaking, replacing Adam Mason. Snashall was previously a freelance winemaker for Villa Maria, Villera and Douglas Green Bellingham.
Norrel Robertson is covering winemaking operations in France and Spain, replacing John Weeks. Robertson was an assistant buyer at Waverley in 1998. He rejoins from Myliko where he was a winemaker.
Owen Bird takes up the new role of winemaker for Italy. During the past two years he has overseen Bottle Green’s Italian winemaking operations.
Weeks and Mason have moved on to other roles within the company.
