A Scottish beef producer has opened a store after strong sales on the web and at farmers' markets.
Donald MacPherson, owner of the Well Hung and Tender beef venture, opened his first butcher's store in Edinburgh last week to capitalise on growing demand for quality locally sourced meat.
"Opening the shop was the next logical step for us," said MacPherson. "Many customers don't have time to shop between 9am and 2pm on a Saturday at a market, so opening for six days a week will capture a wider audience."
