Westons has boosted its senior leadership team with two major promotions.
Darryl Hinksman, formerly head of customer marketing, has been promoted to head of business development, while Steve Hadcroft, formerly GM, has been promoted to manufacturing manager.
Hinksman’s new role will see him add the company’s procurement, stock control and IT to his roster, with Hadcroft taking responsibility for production and quality standards. Both will report to MD Helen Thomas.
Thomas said she was “delighted to welcome both Darryl and Steve to our leadership team and I’m sure that both will make a huge contribution to our ambitious target to be selling more than 60 million litres of Herefordshire-produced cider by 2022”.
It comes as the brand last year unveiled a plan to grow the business by 40%, rolling out a new logo and corporate identity in October.
It also wants to grow its international and export trade to roughly 10% of all business.
Westons ranked 55th in The Grocer’s recent Britain’s Biggest Alcohol Brands 2018 report, having added £5.6m (12.4%) to its value, which hit £50.5m [Nielsen 52 w/e 21 April 2018].
