A ‘healthy’ ice cream brand that claims olympic athletes among its users has secured its first nationwide listing.
Wheyhey, which contains no added sugar and is 100% naturally flavoured, rolls out to 200 Holland & Barrett stores this week after launching in gyms and health clubs last year. It will go into more Holland & Barrett sites over the coming months.
The product’s big selling point for athletes and sports people was the 22g of whey protein in each 150ml tub, claimed brand founder Damien Kennedy. Whey protein was easily absorbed into the body and helped repair muscles after exercise, he said, adding that Wheyhey was also a “guilt-free tasty treat.”
