Wheyhey, supplier of protein-enriched ice cream, has gone bust despite securing a listing with Holland & Barrett.

Wheyhey sold 150ml tubs of ice cream, each containing 22g of whey protein isolate. It launched into gyms and health clubs in 2011 and in May this year was listed in 200 Holland & Barrett stores.

Information from Companies House has revealed the business has gone into liquidation, owing creditors £177,576.
