Scottish Courage has launched a third extension to its Kronenbourg 1664 lager brand.
An imported white beer has joined the portfolio and is being rolled out across UK bars following a successful test.
Kronenbourg Blanc, which is designed to take on Hoegaarden in the speciality beer market, is the latest in a line of launches carrying the French beer’s name.
It follows last year’s launch of speciality brew Premier Cru and Deco, a standard 275ml bottle of Kronenbourg with a pre-packaged shot of absinthe included on the top.
The brewer said it currently had no plans to introduce Kronenbourg Blanc into the take-home market.
