Nut butter brand Whole Earth has unveiled a protein-rich snack endorsed by the British Triathlon Federation.
Making its debut in health food stores and on the Wessanen brand’s web shop this week, the Power Balls contain gluten-free oats, roasted peanuts and dried fruit, and are geared toward busy and active consumers.
Available in four flavours - Classic Peanut Butter; Coconut; Pumpkin, Chia & Flax Seeds, and Goji & Red Berries - each pack contains five portions and carries an rsp of £1.99.
The NPD will be promoted at fitness events including Man v Horse in June and two British Triathlon competitions in 2017. In addition, every Whole Earth web shop order from April will contain a free pack of Power Balls, its makers said. There will also be support by advertising, on-pack promotions, consumer PR, social media and office sampling,
“The natural nutritional benefits of the Power Balls, coupled with a convenient pack format and bite-size pieces, makes them perfect for people on the go looking for a quick energy boost,” said Katrina Farmer, senior brand manager for Whole Earth at Wessanen UK.
“As a brand we are dedicated to fuelling active lifestyles and are driven by the needs of our consumers – health-conscious people who make careful decisions about what they put into their bodies,” she added.
