Specialist fruit and veg supplier Natoora is delivering to restaurants within the M25 on Sundays for the first time.
Natoora said the Sunday deliveries would help eliminate storage and produce freshness problems, enabling restaurants to top up stock whenever needed.
Natoora sales director Vittorio Maschio said: “We understand the pressures restaurants are under to plan their menus and ensure they have enough stock to cover busy weekends. The new service will allow us to better serve our customers, offering chefs greater flexibility in their ordering.
Maschio revealed that the business was also looking to open up more of its own shops. It opened its first outlet, a greengrocer in Chiswick, west London two years ago, and is looking to open another two in the capital this year.
Natoora, which started a partnership with online grocery delivery service Ocado in 2012, has expanded the range available from 60 to 100 products.
The company describes itself as being “an innovator in the sourcing and supply for fruit and veg focused on fantastic flavour”.
