Fish and chip shop supplier and fast food wholesaler T Quality is opening a new depot in Portsmouth.
It aims to increase the company’s delivery capacity to cope with growing demand, enhance customer service levels, and free up resources at other depots.
MD Mike Crees added the new opening will allow the business to reach new areas in supplying a wide range of products from frozen fish and meat products to packaging and cleaning goods.
It will also operate a trade counter for click & collect customers.
“We are delighted to be opening our newest depot in Portsmouth,” said Crees. “This is a really exciting opportunity for T Quality. The site will add further capacity to our operation but will also help to enhance customer service levels with increased delivery dates and the opportunity to reach new areas.
“Investment in our depot network will continue to be a major focus this year as we continue to drive the business forward.”
It currently operates 10 branches in Swindon, Bovey Tracey, Darlington, Avonmouth, Swansea, Peterborough, Birmingham, Leeds, Bridlington and Staplehurst.
The new depot will be situated off the M27 in Fareham, and is expected to open by the beginning of April.
It is set to provide 15 new jobs in the local area.
