Wilko is extending its partnership with Deliveroo to 212 locations, following a six-month trial.

The retailer last year launched deliveries via the aggregator app from 10 stores, offering a range of around 3,000 products.

The extended deal sees more than 200 stores added to the app, with an increased range of 14,000 products. The boosted range will be price-matched to in-store prices.

“I’m thrilled that we’ve been able to expand our partnership with Wilko nationwide so quickly,” said Suzy McClintock, VP of new verticals at Deliveroo, adding the partnership “means together we’re benefiting consumers across the UK with incredible value and unbeatable convenience.”

Available products span garden, home, kitchen, DIY, cleaning, petcare and storage, which can be delivered directly to customers’ doors in as little as 25 minutes.

Data from the trial period shows high demand from customers for the retailer’s paint, decorative lights, screwdrivers, phone chargers and duct tape, with customers leveraging Wilko products to “aid at-home renovations, celebrate the festive period and top up on daily essentials”.

The expansion of the partnership comes as Deliveroo continues to scale its non-food offering, Deliveroo Shopping. Since its launch in November 2013, Deliveroo has welcomed major high street brands including Boots, B&Q, The Perfume Shop, Accessorize, Not On The High Street and Ann Summers on to the platform, alongside thousands of independent retailers.

The move into non-food categories had given customers “the convenience of shopping for everything – all through one app” Deliveroo said.

“It’s exciting to see these new areas of expansion take root for Deliveroo in 2025 as we continue to grow our retail offering,” McClintock added.

Wilko fell into administration in August 2023, leading to the loss of about 12,000 jobs after administrators at PwC were unable to find a rescuer for a significant part of the business.

CDS Superstores bought Wilko’s brand and online operation and has since embarked on an “aggressive” nationwide rollout across England, Scotland, Wales and, for the first time, Northern Ireland, through this year.

“It’s fantastic to expand our partnership with Deliveroo and make sure that Wilko is accessible to as many households as possible,” said Alex Simpkin, group CEO of CDS Superstores, trading as Wilko, The Range and Homebase. “The brand has a loyal customer following and we’re thrilled that we’re able to reach more shoppers via the app, ensuring that people can get their hands on all the great things you expect to see from Wilko in just 25 minutes.”
