Wincanton has reached an agreement with Coca-Cola to manage the soft drinks giant’s warehouse in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, handling both raw materials and finished product.
The supply chain operator said the new contract would last for three years, during which it would focus on providing Coca-Cola with a “flexible and agile operation whilst also driving ongoing improvements in response to a dynamic commercial environment”.
“We have full confidence that our experience with warehouse automation and innovation will prove to be an asset to Coca-Cola as it looks to continue its success,” said Wincanton managing director - retail and consumer Liam McElroy.
“Our shared values and understanding that the people in our business hold the key to success unite us with Coca-Cola and we look forward to forging a strong and lasting relationship with them based on the strength of these principles.”
Coca-Cola Hellenic supply chain services manager Clive Wilson added: “Selecting the right 3PL who shared our values and continuous improvement mindset was critical to our decision-making in selecting Wincanton as our preferred partner. We are confident that their expertise and innovative solutions will help us to improve our operations, add value and deliver sustainable benefits to our business.”
