She's the wine critic known for her flamboyant use of adjectives which have praised and panned a thousand bottles. But now Jilly Goolden is putting her money where her mouth is by launching her own wine brand.
Western Wines has teamed up with the TV presenter to launch the wines, a Chardonnay and a Shiraz from South Africa.
Sourced from the Bellingham Estate in the Western Cape, the Keynote range will be available from next month.
Goolden said: "The red wine in the collaboration had to be a Shiraz. It's the buzz grape in South Africa and is as approachable as a red can be, rippling with the juicy-fruit flavours of cherries and blackberries. The white, with its aromas of Devon fudge and its peaches and cream flavours, gives exactly what you'd want from a Chardonnay."
Both wines will be priced at £4.99.
