Wiper and True has teamed up with four fellow craft brewers to create four new alcohol-free brews for Dry January.

First Draught, Double Take, Third Time’s a Charm and Four Quarters have rolled out via DTC (rsp: £13.20/4x440ml).

The quartet of beers have been created using Wipe and True’s de-alcoholisation technology. They have been brewed in collaboration with Track Brewing Co, Five Points Brewing Co, Elusive Brewing and Northern Monk.

First Draught, brewed with Track Brewing Co, was a “soft and fluffy” alcohol-free pale ale that offered “an explosion of tropical notes”, said Wiper and True.

Double Take was a “beautifully traditional dry stout” made with London’s Five Points. It offered “notes of fruity dark chocolate and roasted coffee beans, with a hint of tobacco”.

Third Time’s a Charm, meanwhile, was an alcohol-free West Coast IPA with “satisfying hop bitterness”. It was brewed with Berkshire’s Elusive Brewing.

Finally, Four Quarters – a grapefruit radler brewed with Northern Monk – offered “refreshing flavours of tart pink grapefruit and soft candied sweetness”.

The new brews will sit beside Wiper and True’s alcohol-free lager Tomorrow and its pale ale 0.5% Kaleidoscope, which are available year-round.

“We’re extremely passionate about offering our customers choice when it comes to drinking, particularly around the festive season and New Year’s, and during January when people tend to opt for something alcohol-free,” said Wiper and True founder Michael Wiper. “This collection has been brewed with some of our favourite breweries, each paying homage to the styles upon which they built their reputations.

“Our hope is that whether people are drinking alcohol or not, there’s something beautiful for them to sip on.”

Speaking to The Grocer earlier this year, Wiper said alcohol-free beer now made up 15% of Wiper and True’s total sales, a figure he predicted could reach as high as 50% in the future.

Tomorrow and 0.5% Kaleidoscope were Wiper & True’s two fastest-growing SKUs, despite the brewer having no major contracts to supply them to supermarkets, pub groups or restaurants, Wiper said.
