Accantia Health and Beauty is swelling the ranks of its Lil-lets range with three new products in a well-being subsector aimed at "helping women manage their periods".
Two are for drug free pain relief. The Heat Soother for Period Pain is an eight hour, self heating, muscle relaxing patch to be worn under clothes (rsp: £3.29, two patches), while Relaxing Rub a blend of lavender, lemon grass, bergamot and benzoin pure essential oils is for massaging into the stomach or back (£3.99, 60ml). The other newcomer is Fresh Feminine Wipes fabric wipes in resealable handbag sized packs. Unusually for wipes, they are also flushable (£2.35, 3 x 5 wipes).
Senior brand manager Rachel Eccles said the new products, available from April 16, enabled the brand to "talk to non tampon-users and to build a relationship with them".
An integrated marketing campaign features postcards in health clubs, tailored promotions and sponsorship of teen web site MyKindaPlace. com's agony aunt.
